An Attempt to Inspire
It may sound lame, but there is really nothing like being in a particular mood and finding some famous, or better yet, famous AND intelligent person already chewed on your thoughts and spat them out like a Chinese proverb.
So, in honor of my love of words, I invite you to enjoy one of my favorite quotes, once a week. I really do love how everyone has some alliteration in a weekly post (like Wonderful Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, Forgetful Friday). However, I am a commitment phobe for weekly, themed posts, so I say any day can be An Attempt to Inspire. Author’s choice. I will most likely attempt inspiration mid-week because I have a hard time seeing the luminous end of the tunnel at the Hump. Feel free to join in on the action, and please let me know if you do.
This week, I leave you with one of my favorites of all time:
Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known. ~Garrison Keillor
The word placement may make your head spin a bit, but I cannot tell you how true I have found this to be. How many times have you wished for something, felt disappointed that the trusty ol’ genie failed you, and then later found yourself saying, “Thank goodness it worked out the way it did.”
This quote reminds me of one of Garth Brooks’ songs where he says “some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.” Whether you believe in God or not, you have to agree that sometimes it is best that things turn out the way they did.
I hope everyone is having a great week. And don’t worry, silly (not introspective) Chat Tea Kathy will be back next post!

What an absolutely lovely thing to collect!
So often we don't want to admit it, but it most often works out the way it needs to because it is God's plan! Thanks for posting this :)
